Another strong week is on the horizon for the CIFL, highlighted by Sunday afternoon’s South Division showdown in Marion. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming up in Week 4:

Saginaw Sting (2-0) at Detroit Thunder (0-2)
2/21, 7:30 PM
Perani Arena

Two teams that look to be heading in opposite directions leads off Week 4 in the CIFL.

Saginaw’s offense has been impressive so far, averaging 56 points per game and a strong 5.5 yards per play this season. Even more impressive, they have only turned the ball over once in two games. Quarterback AJ McKenna will look to keep the momentum going for the Sting. With 12 total touchdowns already this season, look for McKenna to try to score early and often, hoping to put the Thunder away before halftime.

Meanwhile, Detroit has yet to find a rhythm on offense, averaging only 15 points per game in two contests. They’ve also turned the ball over six times already this season. Dual threat quarterback Edward Thomas will need to turn in his best game of the season if Detroit hopes to hang with the Sting.
